PRI Tag Industry Expands Production Capacity with New Blanking Line Investment
PRI Enterprises has significantly expanded production capacity within its Tag Industry operation following the installation of a new blanking line, a strategic investment designed to increase efficiency, support future growth, and meet rising customer demand.
The new equipment was installed at the end of the third quarter and became fully operational shortly thereafter, marking a major advancement in the facility’s manufacturing capabilities.
Prior to the expansion, the operation relied on a single blanking line that averaged approximately 17 rolls per day, producing about 30,000 tag blanks daily. With the addition of the new line, production capacity has doubled to as many as 60,000 blanks per day.
The enhanced capabilities also provide greater operational flexibility. The facility can now process automotive and motorcycle tags simultaneously when needed, allowing production teams to respond more effectively to customer requirements and changing workloads.
The investment was driven by both operational needs and long-term planning. The original blanking line required equipment upgrades and preventive maintenance, while projected increases in demand highlighted the need for additional manufacturing capacity.
The project required coordination across multiple teams and partners to ensure a successful installation and launch.
PRI recognized the Tag Plant Maintenance Team for preparing the facility for the installation and Douglas Waldridge Jr. and his team for delivering and supporting the new equipment.
Additional recognition was given to the staff members who provided training and support to Blanking Supervisor Brian Diley, helping ensure a smooth transition and successful implementation of the new production line.
The investment reflects PRI’s ongoing commitment to modernizing operations, improving efficiency, and expanding manufacturing capabilities to support customers throughout Florida and beyond.
As demand continues to grow, the expanded Tag Industry operation is positioned to deliver increased production capacity, greater operational flexibility, and improved service for automotive and motorcycle tag manufacturing.
